Wushu Drunken Freehand Form

This is a rare opportunity for Nam Yang students to learn a classic Wushu form. Wushu is the modern form of Kung Fu that involves many high kicks and acrobatic movements. This style concentrates more on the style and gymnastic qualities rather than real life application.

The Drunken style of Kung Fu is designed to deceive and confuse opponents. This is achieved by essentially acting drunk, hence the name. This takes great skill although you have to act drunk, you must maintain balance and be able to strike or defend at any time.

Tan Tiong Beng, who is the eldest son of Master Tan Eng Hock, will teach the courses.

Wushu Monkey Freehand Form

This is a rare opportunity for Nam Yang students to learn a classic Wushu form. Wushu is the modern form of Kung Fu that involves many high kicks and acrobatic movements. This style concentrates more on the style and gymnastic qualities rather than real life application.

The Monkey style of Kung Fu is designed to avoid an opponent's attacks by constantly moving in and out of range of the opponent. To achieve this, this style utilises rolls and acrobatic movements. Once in range, monkey style uses accurate strikes to vital points in order to immobilize opponents.

Tan Tiong Beng, who is the eldest son of Master Tan Eng Hock, will teach the courses.
