Self Development Through Shaolin Martial Arts

Lion Dance Grading at NamYang - Banstead Branch

The first Chinese lion dance grading was held on Friday 27th October 2006 at our Banstead Branch.

The event was a success with some outstanding lion dance performances.

Grades included: Junior/Adult Beginner Level, Performance Level 1 and Performance Level 2.

Grading was performed by Tan Tiong Beng, son of Master Tan Eng Hock - Siaw Lim Hood Sun Thong-Singapore.

The grading started with the youngest member of our performance team Thomas Bull who passed his grading with flying colours and ended with our most senior performers Stephen Keen and Troy Kenchington performing a breath taking traditional Chinese lion dance.

The evening ended with presentation of the certificates followed by a buffet provided by Andrew Keen.
